Taken from Ananda Project's full-length forthcoming CD Fire Flower , this EP kicks off with "Into the Sunrise"; a beautiful Balearic beat and harmonious affair featuring a breathy version of Terrance Downs' dynamic vocals. Following that is one of 2 mixes of "Remember When"; an E-Z loungey instrumental with a light pump, warpy synth & oceanic soundscape weaving throughout. Next up is "Universal Love" , a future featured single off the album. An absolutely gorgeous laid-back tune featuring the smooth vocals of Kai Martin of Solu Music. Lookout for a separate single release with its own special set of remixes by none other than Naked Music legend himself, Jay-J. Rounding off this EP is Chris Brann's Alternate Mix of "Remember When" which is a bit dubbier but nevertheless dance-effective. OUT THIS WEEK!

Organic DJ/Producer of Tet Kale Orchestra and former member of Wave Music's Abstract Truth, Jephte Guillaume brings forth a down-right rooty persussion & sexy mid-tempo tune graced by the delicate vocals of Japanese songstress AK . Already being championed by Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, and Joe Claussell, this elegant production has all the makings of soulful dance future classic. Be sure not to sleep on the dub either, as its rhythmic roll & smooth bassline will caress the ears of any listener and bring a joyful flow to the dancefloor.
This is the third single from King Street & Toshiba/ EMI Japan recording artist AK, having released such lovely songs as "Say That You Love Me" remixed by Eric Kupper & "No One Else" remixed by Jon Cutler. Jephte graces us for the second time with another fantastic production. OUT THIS WEEK!

As the music industry continues to figure out the best course forward, New York based technology start up Backlash Solutions has quietly become the buzzing software provider for over a dozen well-known indie labels, PR firms and artist management companies. The company, whose motto is "Maintaining the Balance Between Art and Commerce", was founded by indie music devotee and long-time label owner Dave Tomaselli and technology expert Joe DeCanio.

SR1 clients include such recognized labels as cult icon Mute Records, renowned producer Francois Kevorkian's Wave Music, and celebrated NYC dance music imprint King Street Sounds. The software's ease of use and attractive price tag has it quickly growing in popularity with many smaller artist run labels as well. Tomaselli, who has consulted for many labels during his 17 years in the industry says, "We realized that technology has not only affected the way we consume and experience music, it has dramatically affected the way business is conducted by independent record labels, managers, and artists alike. Based upon our intimate knowledge of the industry we were able to identify the major pain points and challenges our colleagues were facing and we created a business tool to help them to adapt to the dynamic nature of today's music business."
To schedule a demo of SR1 or to meet BLS at WMC please contact Dave Tomaselli at davet@backlashsolutions.com
