putting a lot more focus on SA produced house music so
expect many more local artist albums and local based

Picture yourself on the dancefloor at a club in deep space (or
maybe even at Francois Kís Deep Space party at Cielo) where
youíd probably hear this tune. Deep, floaty, & synth-washy
with a definitive digital pump. Japanese production team
Agora Rhythm returns to Nite Grooves and certainly doesnít
disappoint. ìViajeî, meaning trip in Spanish, is a nice spacey
ride as described above. Meanwhile, on the flipside we have
ìCrossroadsî; a completely different rhythmic crossover
putting one in a different head-space. Slow bass drum,
banginí timbales & electric guitar riffs give this more of a
toned downtempo with a latin-tribal feel. Even though the
rpmís have been reduced, the record still maintains itís
strength giving further credence to Agora Rhythmís superb,
varied, & unpredictable production ability.

NYC DJ and Producer Will Milton returns to King St.
with a lovely new double A side. He's actually had a few
tracks previously released on Nite Grooves including
Mya's smooth groove "Come To Me"
ìThe Tripî ñ a smooth Georgio Moroder-esque instrumental
ride that downshifts the beats into a smooth journey with its
synthy keys and funky rhythm. Wil says he was influenced by
ìThe Chaseî on this particular track and we can see why.
Nice one!
ìGravityî ñ This track is named after Wilís current biweekly
party here in NYC. Local up and coming vocalist Rodney
Carter caresses the track pushing us ever so deeply, farther
and farther into the underground, just as Gravity does here
on Earth.

Mix the Vibe mixed by Doc Martin EP Part II
Riding high on the heels of the Part 1 EP, this follow-up is
sure to rock the house. Legendary DJ Doc Martin was
recently chosen to mix the 15th Anniversary edition of the
critically acclaimed Mix the Vibe series, and stemming from
the album will be this available-on-vinyl-only second EP. On
it are more classic tracks culled from the King St. catalogue
and two on this EP have been re-worked by Doc himself
adding more punch and pump to their original flavor. LYís
ìBack To Zanzibarî has truly gone off the deeper end and
Johnny Dangerousí ìEmerald Cityî has been seasoned with
additional vocals. Two more tracks grace this EP. ìTouch the
Grooveî by Lenny Fontana presents Eastside Movement and
ìCome Homeî by Kerri Chandler feat. Wilma Beckford; both
in their original guise but previously unreleased. A gem of an
add to any house DJís box.

Abstract Latin Journey mixed by Julius Papp
Taken from Julius Pappís very first mixed CD on Nite Grooves
being released in Spring of ì06, four very different tracks
adorn this first EP, available on vinyl only. Three of the four
available are previously unreleased mixes of well received
singles. This new mix Matthias ìMattyî Heilbronnís ìThe
Greatest Thingî is simply jazz-tastic containing the ultimate
key riffs! We hear Myraís ìCome to Meî is a total relaxing
downtempo version of the original. Grammy Award-Winning
Remixer Louis Vega aka Groove Box hits us on the B-Side
with the Beats of his ìLatin Ritualî track and following that,
the original of Julius Papp featuring Gina Rene, ìA Thousand
Yearsî brings this EP full circle. The latter mentioned is the
only track re-released as is but some things we feel are best
left untouched and ìA Thousand Yearsî is perfect just the way
it is.
